Rebuilding the TED platform I spent five years on. It's live at tedta.com.au for invited users.

• Each weekday evening one Lambda works out 136 indicators over 10 years of history for about 2,000 ASX stocks in about 40 seconds, for under $1 a month on AWS.
• Python (Polars, Numba) for the data, Next.js for the site, and my own chart library in place of the licensed one TED 2 used.
• An AI chat where Claude writes or changes scans and strategies from plain English, checked against the backtester's rules before they're used.

I designed, built and run livegizmo.com on my own. Friends open a room, share the link and play party games together in the browser, with no install and no account needed to start.

• Six games and two daily puzzles, including AI-written trivia and crosswords, Evil Hangman, a whole-room sudoku and chess, played live or a move at a time with a push notification when it's your turn.
• Serverless on AWS, deployed with SST: Next.js on CloudFront and Lambda, a Hono API, a single DynamoDB table, Step Functions for turn timers and AWS IoT Core for realtime play. It installs as a PWA and ships to Android.
• Each game's rules live in their own package with no framework code, covered by plain unit tests. Every Storybook story also runs as a Playwright browser test, and GitHub Actions only deploys when all of it passes.
• Amazon Bedrock writes the trivia questions, crossword clues and drawings, prepared ahead so nobody waits. I build with Claude Code every day and review everything it writes.

After graduating I built smaller products on AWS with SST, the same setup I later used for Live Gizmo.

• TileSwap.io, a daily 3x3 picture puzzle: a React front end, a Lambda and DynamoDB back end, and a new picture each day generated with Amazon Bedrock.
• patricknazar.com, my portfolio: built with Astro, with the site and my resume PDF generated from the same JSON file, and a question box answered by Claude on Amazon Bedrock.
• A shared sign-in service (OpenAuth, Google sign-in, DynamoDB) with roles, used by my other apps.

I went back to university because I wanted my degree. I finished with a GPA of 6.71 out of 7 and a Griffith Award for Academic Excellence in each of my three years.

• Final-year industry project with Cybella AI: I was project manager and a developer on a student team that built a custom AI chatbot (Angular, NestJS, Python, WebSockets, Docker).
• Ran requirements and planning, and the weekly meetings with the client and with the team.

I took time away from paid work to be at home with my family.

I was the only developer on TED, a technical-analysis platform for ASX traders, and designed, built and ran all of it for five years.

• Replaced the original system with TED 2, a set of services on AWS: an Angular front end, a NestJS GraphQL gateway, NestJS and Laravel services over MySQL, and Python jobs on AWS Batch that calculated technical indicators for every ASX stock.
• Built what traders used every day: the market scan, watchlists with alerts, charts with drawings, ratings and notes, and a daily report email.
• Worked directly with management to turn what traders asked for into features, and kept it all running in production: data feeds, deployments and monitoring.

My first development work after Domino's: websites and custom PHP applications for clients, built with WordPress, jQuery and PHP.
